CEIDG, or the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity, was established on July 1st 2011. It is an electronic register of entrepreneurs who run their own business. The service is also intended for people who want to set up their own business. Here they can do it without leaving home. It is enough to create an account in the system. For this you will need to have an electronic signature with a qualified certificate or a trusted profile. Read the article to the end and find out more about CEIDG.
Service possibilities
With the help of the portal, after logging in you can:
- set up a business activity,
- suspend your sole trading,
- recommence sole trading,
- close your business,
- register a limited liability company
- change the data in the entry, e.g. add PKD code,
- appoint a proxy to conduct business on behalf of the entrepreneur,
- check a contractor on the list of VAT taxpayers,
- review the entries of other entrepreneurs, e.g. by entering a surname or NIP.
The website contains information about concessions, licences, permits and entries in the register of regulated activities. The website also contains many elements which are supposed to help entrepreneurs in matters related to running and functioning of a company. They include templates of necessary applications together with filling instructions, a section with advice and help, as well as a computer bot, which you can ask questions to.
CEIDG-1 application
The CEIDG-1 form was introduced at the same time as the service was launched. Its main purpose is to register a newly established company. Importantly, the completed application can be sent to any town or commune office. There is no longer an obligation to register in the office responsible for the place of residence. The form will be needed by entrepreneurs who want to change the company’s data, PKD codes as well as suspend, resume or close the business.
Apart from the form, there are also attachments to it:
CEIDG-MW – concerning entry of an additional place of business,
CEIDG-RD – completed when the entrepreneur wants to add more than 7 PKD codes,
CEIDG-RB – to be filled in when the entrepreneur wants to add a second bank account connected with running the sole trading activity,
CEIDG-SC – should be filled in when the entrepreneur is a partner in more than 1 civil partnership,
CEIDG-ZS – a form that includes information about the entrepreneur’s successor administrator.
